British Pub Nights

The original plan was post a mid-run promotion for British Pub Nights... Do a general interest piece to drum up more ticket sales for our second week...
But we're happy to report that sales are so good that you might not get a chance to see the show if you haven't got your tickets already!
If you want to get in on this British comedy gem, your only shot it to buy tickets for this Wednesday's performance. Seating is limited, but you might get lucky if you act soon!! Call 604-391-SHOW for tickets today!
British Pub Nights is a delightful evening of song, humour and nostalgia. The diverse cast capture the audience from the very first song, and they hold our attention until the closing note.
The Rotary Hall at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre is set up for snacking, and beverages are permitted in the theatre during the show.
Stick around after the show for a singalong! And if you miss this year's British Pub Night, don't fret! We'll be back with another on for sure!

The Postmortem Look

It's been so fun to work on this period piece by Ken Ludwig! The 1920's is one of the most exciting eras to portray!

We've had so much fun getting the look right for this show. Some of our actresses are in the hair and makeup chair for over an hour to achieve the look!

Denise's hair is painstakingly waved, curled and sewn into the style. That's right, sewn! And the effect is great! She looks like she stepped out of a 1920s salon, on her way to meet Mary Pickford for lunch.

Sabine and Laura both don wigs to complete their transformations. Laura's blunt bob and bangs are as 'striking' as her character is, and Sabine's finger-waved salt and pepper wig lends an air of class to her spot-on portrayal of the doting Aunt Lily.

Rachel's hair takes a more relaxed route, as she's playing a free-spirited medium with blindingly good looks, and a penchant for daring little black dresses....

Let's not forget the gentlemen! Sleek hair and beautifully cut suits bring our gentlemen into the 1920s. Cravats, smoking jackets, and a tux with tails... and maybe a disguise or two...

We're on at 7.30pm tonight, 2pm tomorrow, and 7.30pm again from April 24th-April 27th.

Getting Closer to Sherlock...

Calm down, we didn't get Benedict Cumberbatch to be in one of our shows, but Postmortem does feature Sherlock Holmes, played by our very own dashing Darcy Ferrier!
We visited rehearsals tonight to get a little closer to the suspenseful thriller, and though we may be forbidden to reveal any details about the plot, we can safely say that Postmortem will be filled with twists, turns, drama and some very fine acting!
Stay tuned! Next week we'll take you behind the scenes as we bravely face tech week in the CCC!
Tickets to Postmortem can be bought by calling 604.391.SHOW.
Postmortem runs April 18th-27th at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre (9201 Corbould Street).
